Harold Jones, Flute
Harold Jones, FluteThe career of the many-faceted flutist Harold Jones includes solo, chamber, and orchestra performances that enchant audiences everywhere. He has traveled across the United States, with performances from California to New York, and tours of the Midwest, Europe and Asia. In addition to numerous recitals, Mr. Jones’ past seasons included appearances with the Chamber Orchestra of Albuquerque and the Butte Symphony. Most recently, he appeared in Michigan with the Kalamazoo Symphony and in California for Four Seasons Concerts.

Harold Jones recorded the Vivaldi Flute Concerti for the Library of Recorded Masterpieces and has four solo albums to his credit for Antara Records: From Bach to Bazzini, Afternoon Fantasies, Let Us Break Bread Together, and Just As I Am, and for Performance Records: Black Artists Series “Harold Jones”. His most recent recording brought this comment from The New York Times, “Among today’s legion of distinguished flutists, Mr. Jones has little to fear from being compared to the very best in terms of training, experience or exceptional skill. His breath control is prodigious, his production is smooth as silk and his musical instincts are refined in a way to make everything he plays sound utterly spontaneous.”
